WARREL DANE Live In Vancouver; Video Available
March 18, 2010Video footage of NEVERMORE frontman Warrel Dane's March 13, 2010 solo performance at The Red Room in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada can be viewed below. He was accompanied by Attila Voros (guitar),Willis Mathiasen (drums),Dagna Barrera (bass) and Jonny Smokes (guitar).
Dane made his solo live debut on December 19, 2009 at Studio Seven in Seattle, Washington.
The singer's show encompasses material spanning one of metal's most defining and revolutionary vocalists' entire catalog, focusing on his inaugural solo effort, "Praises To The War Machine", as well as featuring SANCTUARY tracks for the first time in over a decade.
"Praises to the War Machine" (2008) sold 1,100 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Dane, who first shattered the boundaries of conventionality with the legendary SANCTUARY and NEVERMORE, proved that he was one of metal's most diverse frontmen with this solo effort as he unleashed a barrage of introspective and personal lyrics that were heartfelt and extremely powerful. All of this emotion backed with his soaring angelic and dynamic vocals provides all of the necessary elements for a savagely captivating, melodic assault that quickly hooked you in.
NEVERMORE recently finished recording its new album, "The Obsidian Conspiracy", for a June 8 release via Century Media Records. The drum tracks for the CD were completed in the group's hometown of Seattle with SOILWORK guitarist Peter Wichers, who previously worked with Dane on "Praises to the War Machine". Longtime friend and collaborator Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ARCH ENEMY, EXODUS, MACHINE HEAD) once again handed mixing duties.
